Isla incahuasi

“This is the Isla Incahuasi in the middle of the Salar de Uyuni. In Quechua, it means ‘house of the Incas’. Tourists come from all over the world to visit this place. I’m originally from Tahua, just north of the salt flat, but I’ve been working and living here for a year. It’s a privilege because it is such a unique place and we are only 5 people. However, it can also get lonely with no phone or Internet service. What I do like about this place is the silence and tranquility.”
